Setup a Widget with FeedbackCompany Reviews

This guide covers setting up and configuring widgets in Feedback Company Reviews. Widgets let you display customer reviews anywhere on your store - sidebars, homepages, product pages, or any CMS content.

Location: Content → Widgets → Add Widget

Available Widget Types

The extension provides 8 widget types:

Adding a Widget

  1. Go to Content → Widgets
  2. Click Add Widget
  3. Select Type: Choose one of the FeedbackCompany widgets
  4. Select Design Theme: Your store's theme
  5. Click Continue
  6. Configure the widget options (see sections below)
  7. Set Layout Updates to determine where the widget appears
  8. Click Save

A flexible review display with four layout modes.

Setting Layout Updates

  1. In the widget form, go to Layout Updates
  2. Click Add Layout Update
  3. Configure:
    • Display on: Where the widget should appear (All Pages, Specific Pages, etc.)
    • Container: Which page section (Sidebar, Main Content, Footer, etc.)

Responsive Configuration

For the Slider Widget, responsive design ensures proper display on all devices.

Recommended Breakpoints

480=1;768=2;1024=3;1200=4

This means:

  • Mobile (≤480px): 1 review visible
  • Tablet Portrait (768px): 2 reviews visible
  • Tablet Landscape (1024px): 3 reviews visible
  • Desktop (1200px+): 4 reviews visible

Best Practices

General

  • Don't overload pages with too many widgets
  • Match widget style to your theme
  • Test on mobile devices

Review Widget

  • Use Sidebar mode for sidebars
  • Enable slider for 5+ reviews
  • Show 3-5 reviews maximum

Slider Widget

  • Use on homepage for impact
  • Enable autoplay with 5-7 second delay
  • Configure responsive breakpoints

Floating Widget

  • Consider disabling on mobile
  • Keep on checkout for trust
  • Use bottom-right for least interference

Troubleshooting

Widget Not Displaying

  1. Clear all caches: bin/magento cache:flush
  2. Check widget is enabled and saved correctly
  3. Verify layout updates are set properly
  4. Check container selection exists in your theme

No Reviews Showing

  1. Verify reviews exist in Marketing → Feedback Company → Reviews
  2. Check reviews are Approved status
  3. Verify account is selected in configuration
